Abstract
A belt unit (F) includes an endless member (1) that is rotated, a support member (4) that supports the endless member, a counter member (Fp) that is disposed to face the support member with the endless member interposed therebetween and is in contact with the endless member at a predetermined first contact pressure, a heating section (2a) that heats the endless member, and a control unit (C) that starts heating in the heating section in a case where rotation of the endless member is started, and controls at least one of the support member or the counter member to control a contact pressure between the endless member and the counter member to a second contact pressure higher than the first contact pressure.
