Abstract
A belt unit (F) includes an endless member (1) that is rotated, a support member (4) that supports the endless member in a bent posture at an end portion of the support member in a rotation direction of the endless member, a counter member (Fp) that is disposed to face the support member with the endless member interposed therebetween and is in contact with the endless member at a predetermined contact pressure, a posture changing section (6) that changes a posture of a bent portion of the endless member, and a control unit (C1) that controls the posture changing section to change a posture of the endless member to a posture in which bending of the bent portion of the endless member is reduced in a case where rotation of the endless member ends.
