Abstract

Aspects of the present disclosure provide a system, apparatus, and method for bag identification. For example, the system may obtain a plurality of images from one or more image capturing devices within a geographic area. The system may further identify a bag within the plurality of images. The system may further determine whether the plurality of images includes a person associated with the bag and within a distance of the bag. The system may further identify a period of time the person has not been within the distance of the bag. The system may further determine whether the period of time the person has not been within the distance of the bag satisfies an abandoned bag threshold value. The system may further generate an indication representing an abandoned bag state.
