Abstract

What is proposed is a self-organized, semantic-based device network (1000) with at least one device (1002), the at least one device (1002) comprising at least two logic cells (1004, 1006) communicatively connected to one another; the network (1000) comprising: a theme definition module (1010) configured for providing a theme definition (1011) based on a semantic metamodel (1012), the theme definition (1011) comprising an input description of at least one task to be assigned to the device network (1000); execution plan module (1014) configured for generating an execution plan (500) based on the theme definition, the execution plan (500) comprising information about the communication connection of the at least two logic cells (1004, 1006); a transmission module (1016) configured for transmitting one or more messages between the at least two logic cells (1004, 1006) based on the execution plan (500); and a network optimization module (1018) configured for utilizing a network optimization model (1020) for placing at least one of the at least two cells (1004, 1006) in the network to build the self-organized, semantic-based device network (1000).
