Abstract
There is provided an intense pulsed light, IPL, apparatus. The IPL apparatus comprises an IPL light source, a power source, a switch, and a controller. The IPL light source is adapted to generate a pulse of light in response to receiving an electric current. The power source is adapted to provide the electric current to the IPL light source. The switch is electrically connected to the power source and the IPL light source. The controller is configured to provide a pulse modulation signal to the switch to open and close the switch. The switch is adapted to provide pulsed delivery of the electric current to the IPL light source in response to the pulse modulation signal. The controller is configured to control a frequency content of the pulse modulation signal to spread an electromagnetic emission caused by operation of the switch over multiple frequencies.
