Abstract

Provided is an ultrasound probe that is easy to grip and can be reduced in size while a battery is built therein. An ultrasound probe includes a housing that has a front end portion and a rear end portion, a transducer array that is disposed inside the front end portion of the housing, and a battery that has a flat plate shape and that is disposed inside the housing, in which the housing has an outer shape that gradually tapers along a center line extending from the front end portion to the rear end portion, from a vicinity of a center portion of the center line toward the front end portion or the rear end portion, and the battery is disposed inclined relative to the center line so as to lie along an inner surface of the housing.
