Abstract

A system and method for generating a projection of a planned patient specific implant model 101 on a sterile projection plate 102 in a sterile field is presented. The method comprises the steps of detecting the sterile projection plate 102 located in the sterile field with a detection device 103 (step S1) and calculating, based on a result of the detection of the sterile projection plate carried out in step S1, projection parameters for the projection device (step S4). Further, the planned patient specific implant model is provided to a projection device 104 (step S2). Further the step of projecting the planned patient specific implant model 101 with the projection device 104 onto the sterile projection plate (step S3) is comprised, wherein said calculated projection parameters in step S3 when projecting the planned patient specific implant model with the projection device onto the sterile projection plate (step S5). The method shown in Figure 1 can be carried out by a system as shown in Figure 1, but also other systems may be used.
