Abstract

The present invention relates to a wound care product (in particular a wound dressing) for treating cavity wounds. The wound care product comprises a) an absorbent body that comprises absorbent fibers, wherein the absorbent body has a length-to-width ratio of at least 5, wherein the length is defined as the longest dimension of the absorbent body, and the width is defined as the longest dimension perpendicular to the length; and b) a porous cover surrounding at least a part of the absorbent body, wherein the porous cover has a length-to-width ratio of at least 5, wherein the length is defined as the longest dimension of the porous cover, and the width is defined as the longest dimension perpendicular to the length.
