Abstract

A laser processing apparatus (1) that performs laser processing on a workpiece (2) by irradiating the workpiece (2) with processing laser light (PL) includes: a first laser light source (21) that emits the processing laser light (PL); and a determiner (53) that determines a defect mode of the laser processing from a three-dimensional information image generated based on reflected light that is measurement light (ML) reflected by the workpiece (2). The three-dimensional information image is an image showing a distribution of the depth of a keyhole (2b) formed in the workpiece (2) when irradiated with the processing laser light (PL), the intensity of the reflected light of the measurement light (ML), and the frequency of occurrence of the depth of the keyhole (2b) with respect to the intensity of the reflected light of the measurement light (ML).
