Abstract

The invention relates to a method for lifting a preform element (1) for a wind turbine blade of a wind turbine, in particular from a transport and/or storage device for at least one preform element (1) to a blade mold (24), comprising - providing a main lifting device (12) having first gripping means, in particular suction cups (4) connected to at least one pump, and second gripping means, - attaching the first gripping means to an upper surface of the preform element (1), - gripping flexible support sections (8) extending at opposing lateral sides (31) of the preform element (1) by the second gripping means, and - lifting the gripped preform element (1) using the main lifting device (12).
