Abstract

A refrigeration apparatus (1) includes a refrigerant circuit (10), wherein tetrahydrothiophene, as an odor component, is sealed in the refrigerant circuit (10) along with a refrigerant and a refrigerating machine oil, and following Formula (1) is satisfied, where an amount of leakage of the refrigerant that leaks from the refrigerant circuit (10) at a leakage rate of 0.001 kg/h for four minutes is referred to as M<leak1> [kg], a fill amount of the odor component into the refrigerant circuit (10) is referred to as M<od> [kg], a fill amount of the refrigerating machine oil is referred to as M<oil> [kg], solubility of the odor component in the refrigerating machine oil is referred to as S<oil> [weight ppm], a fill amount of the refrigerant into the refrigerant circuit (10) is referred to as M<ref> [kg], a volume of a room (LS) is referred to as V [m<3>], and a density of the odor component is referred to as ρ [kg/m<3>].
