Abstract

The invention relates to a liftable door (2) supporting mechanism (1) for grilling ovens that are intended for cooking food by retaining the heat produced by wood or coal combustion. The mechanism comprises two rigidly connected arms (1.1, 1.8), a primary arm (1.1) and another secondary arm (1.8), integrally rotating on respective rotation shafts (1.4) located on each side of the oven body, where an end of the secondary arm (1.8) is connected to the bottom of the door (2), and the opposite end of the assembly formed by both arms (1.1, 1.8) has a connecting rod (1.2) hinged to the primary arm (1.1) from which a counterweight (1.3) hangs. Thus, the assembly formed by both arms (1.1, 1.8) pivots on the rotation shaft (1.4), where the weight of the door (2) of the oven, at the end of the secondary arm (1.8), is held by the lever exerted on the rotation shaft (1.4) by the counterweight (1.3) that hangs from the primary arm (1.1).
