Abstract

A method for monitoring and/or controlling a chemical production process, wherein the chemical production process comprises process signal data indicating an anomalous event, the method comprising the steps of: - providing one or more process signal data associated with one or more sensor(s) monitoring one or more chemical production process(es), wherein the signal is indicative of one or more operating status changes associated with the one or more chemical production process(es); - detecting one or more anomalous event(s) based on the one or more process signal data by providing the process signal data to a data-driven model configured to classify anomalous event(s) based on the one or more process signal data, wherein the data-driven model is parametrized based on at least partially labelled process signal data, wherein the labels are intermittent data points measured with respect to the chemical products produced by the chemical production process provided; - providing the one or more detected anomalous event(s) associated with the respective one or more process signal data for monitoring and/or controlling the chemical production process of the one or more chemical plant(s).
