Abstract

Devices, systems, and methods for operating a head-mountable device (200). Specifically, the head-mountable device (200) may be operated according to different operating modes depending on a current device state of the head-mountable device (200). The head-mountable devices described here may be configured to operate in a plurality of candidate device states. In a plurality of these candidate device states, the head-mountable device (200) may be worn on a corresponding portion of the user's body (402). As the head-mountable device (200) moves between these different body-mounted states, the head-mountable device may change its current operating mode. In some instances, the plurality of candidate device states may include one or more additional device states, and the head-mountable device (200) may change its current operating mode as it enters these additional device states.
