Abstract

A system and method for optimizing engineering designs is disclosed herein. The method includes receiving, by a processor (104), a request for optimizing one or more design parameters associated with an engineering design from an input device (112), wherein the request comprises at least one inequality constraint for the one or more design parameters. Further, a function for determining an improvised Ising formulation based on the one or more design parameters is invoked, wherein the Ising formulation comprises an interaction matrix and a bias vector. The interaction matrix and the bias vector from the improvised Ising formulation is used to perform optimization of the one or more design parameters. Further, n output indicative of optimized values of the one or more design parameters is generated based on the optimization performed, on an output device (114).
