Abstract

Proposed concepts thus aim to provide schemes, solutions, concepts, designs, methods, and systems pertaining to assessing performance of an oral health care routine. In particular, embodiments propose to utilise data from one or more sensors to detect specific dental features (e.g. particularly interproximal (IP) spaces between teeth). Such sensors may include pressure sensors, inertial measurement units (IMUs), or optical sensors, each capable of identifying patterns created by dental features. By analysing the data from such sensors, embodiments may, for example, effectively count the number of teeth scanned and assess the completeness of the performance of an oral health care routine.
