Abstract

When lower layer mobility cell switch is used in a network having access nodes, or corresponding apparatuses, some of which not supporting unified TCI states and some supporting such states, to enable smooth cell switch from a cell to a cell not supporting TCI states, the latter is configured to generate, when unified TCI states are requested, mapping information mapping one or more non-unified TCI states to corresponding one or more unified TCI-states, store the information, and respond using a list of unified TCI state(s). The mapping information may be later used for reverse mapping.
