Abstract
The invention relates to a Toll-like receptor (TLR) agonist selected from a TLR9 agonist for use in the treatment of early-stage melanoma in a male patient, wherein the treatment comprises intradermal administration of the TLR9 agonist at the primary tumor excision site prior to sentinel lymph node biopsy (SNB).The invention further relates to a Toll-like receptor (TLR) agonist selected from a TLR7/8 agonist, alone or in combination with a TLR9 agonist, for use in the treatment of early-stage melanoma in a female patient, wherein the treatment comprises intradermal administration of the agonist(s) at the primary tumor excision site prior to sentinel lymph node biopsy (SNB).
