Abstract
In order to improve the behaviour of a museum display case in relation to objects exhibited therein, the display case is submitted to a heat treatment in which heating and resting steps alternate. In this way, the emission of volatile substances, including VOCs (volatile organic compounds), is drastically reduced and consequently the objects displayed in the display case do not risk damages due to the presence of these volatile substances in the display case.
