Abstract

An apparatus (1) for producing a frustoconical barrel body (6) made of paper comprises: - a feeding station (4) comprising a pulling assembly (8) for unwinding paper (50) at a preset unwinding speed; - a frustoconical drum (10) operable in rotation around a rotation axis (X); - a fly cutting device (2) upstream of the drum (10), suitable for cutting the paper (50) into sheets (5) without stopping or reducing said preset unwinding speed; - a conveyor device (3) which allows the sliding of said sheets (5) from the feeding station (4) towards the drum (10). A method for making a frustoconical barrel body by means of such apparatus.
