Abstract

A printing device includes a discharge head configured to discharge fluid, a connection section to which an accommodation member that accommodates the fluid is connectable, a fluid flow path that connects the discharge head and the connection section, a liquid feeding section configured to cause the fluid to flow through the fluid flow path, a detection section provided in the fluid flow path, the detection section being configured to detect whether the fluid is present in the fluid flow path and/or measure an amount of the fluid accommodated in the accommodation member, and a control section configured to perform connection state determination as to whether a connection state of the connection section is normal based on a detection value of the detection section when the liquid feeding section causes the fluid to flow through the fluid flow path.
