Abstract

The invention relates to a standardized wrapping station for wrapping pallets using a wrapping machine mounted on an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV).To solve the problems of inefficiency, accident risk, and high programming cost of AGVs when circulating throughout a warehouse, the station proposes to centralize the wrapping operations in a perimetrically delimited area. The station comprises a Deposit Area (2) for the pallets, a Wrapping Area (3) where the cycle is executed, and a Running Area (4) for the AGV's manoeuvres, all contiguous within the perimeter. The station includes navigation markers (7) for the AGV. The AGV can move the pallet from the deposit area to a separate wrapping area, or wrap it directly in the deposit area if there is sufficient space. This minimizes the AGV's movements and allows the standardization of its navigation programming, thereby reducing costs and increasing productivity.
