Abstract

Provided are a rubber composition containing a rubber component and a polyester, wherein the rubber component contains natural rubber, the polyester is a polycondensate of an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component, a content of an aliphatic diol having 2 to 16 carbon atoms in the alcohol component is 85% by mass or more, and a content of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid compound having 2 to 16 carbon atoms in the carboxylic acid component is 50% by mass or more, a molded rubber body obtained by vulcanizing the rubber composition, a tire member containing the molded rubber body, use of the rubber composition for improving abrasion resistance, and a method for improving abrasion resistance of a molded rubber body containing a rubber component and a polyester.
