Abstract
A support member (100) for routing fluid or electrical lines within structural members comprises a conduit (102) having a wall (104) that defines a passage (106) configured to receive at least one line. The passage within the conduit is configured to permit free movement of the at least one line along a longitudinal axis of the conduit. Further, the support member comprises a plurality of longitudinal slots (120, 122, 124, 126) formed in a wall of the conduit and configured to define, in an expanded state of the support member, a plurality of arms (220, 222, 224, 226, 240, 242, 244, 246) radially extending from the conduit and spaced apart from each other about a circumference of the conduit. The support member may be configured for deployment within a structural member of a vehicle, including but not limited to an axle of the vehicle.
