Abstract
The present disclosure provides a novel method and the like for analyzing a modification state of constituent units in a molecule in which a plurality of constituent units of one or more types are bonded together. The present disclosure relates to a method for analyzing a modification state of a constituent unit in a molecule in which a plurality of constituent units of one or more types are bonded together, the method including: acquiring series data of signal values that vary in accordance with a type and a modification state of each constituent unit, the series data being obtained by scanning the molecule for each of a plurality of analyte molecules; aligning each of the plurality of series data, acquired from the plurality of analyte molecules, with reference data, thereby aligning the plurality of series data with each other; and analyzing a modification state of at least a part of the plurality of analyte molecules, based on the aligned plurality of series data.
