Abstract

An image forming apparatus (IF) includes a cartridge (C), an apparatus body (100) including a pump portion (35), a developer container (12) including a toner accommodating portion (12a), and a tube (24). The cartridge (C) includes a toner chamber (16), a filter (18), an air chamber (17), a discharge port (16a), and a pipe (27). While the toner conveyance operation is performed, a pressure difference (ΔP) between the toner chamber (16) and the air chamber (17) in a first state in which the toner is loaded on only a part of the partition portion (18e) of the filter (18) is greater than a pressure difference (ΔP) between the toner chamber (16) and the air chamber (17) in a second state in which no toner is loaded on an entire surface of the partition portion (18e) of the filter (18).
