Abstract

The invention is a method for managing a payment transaction started as an EMVCo<®> transaction with a payment application (12) installed in a payment instrument (10) comprising a digital identity wallet (16) hosting an instant application (14). After transaction refusal, the issuer bank (30) sends to the terminal a configuration data requesting continuation by the instant application. The terminal sends to the issuer bank a terminal request (85) comprising a transaction identifier and a reference of a merchant account, and provides the payment instrument with the transaction identifier and the amount. The instant application sends to issuer bank an instant payment request (87) comprising a dynamic linking authenticator generated by the digital identity wallet. After both successfully verifying that the dynamic linking authenticator is valid and ensuring that the terminal request and the instant payment request are consistent, the issuer bank sends an instant payment order to the merchant bank.
