Abstract

The invention relates to a sensor (1) for detecting penetration (damage, intrusion, injury), comprising an upper insulating layer (2), a lower insulating layer (3) and at least one detection layer (4) for detecting a change in at least one component of impedance (electrical resistance and/or capacitive reactance) upon penetration of the sensor (1). Each detection layer (4) is arranged between the upper insulating layer (2) and the lower insulating layer (3) and comprises an electrical input (5) and output (6) for electrical connection to an evaluation unit (18). The detection layer (4), when viewed perpendicular to the plane of said layer, forms a single detection segment or is divided into at least two detection segments for detecting a penetration area of the sensor (1). The sensor also has an ability to detect error states.
