Abstract
According to the present embodiment, a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery may comprise: a lithium manganese-rich first positive electrode active material represented by Chemical Formula 1 below; and a high-nickel single-particle second positive electrode active material represented by Chemical Formula 2 below, and an average particle size (D50<sub>1</sub>) of the lithium manganese-rich first positive electrode active material may be greater than an average particle size (D50<sub>2</sub>) of the high-nickel single-particle second positive electrode active material. [Chemical Formula 1] Li<sub>1+x1</sub>(Ni<sub>(1-a1-b1)</sub>Co<sub>a1</sub>Mn<sub>b1</sub>)O<sub>2</sub>(where -0.5 ≤ x<sub>1</sub> ≤ 0.5, 0 ≤ a<sub>1</sub> ≤ 0.5, and 0.5 ≤ b<sub>1</sub> ≤ 1.) [Chemical Formula 2] Li<sub>1+x2</sub>(Ni<sub>(1-a2-b2-c2)</sub>Co<sub>a2</sub>Mn<sub>b2</sub>M<sub>c2</sub>)O<sub>2</sub>(where -0.5 ≤ x<sub>2</sub> ≤ 0.5, 0 ≤ a<sub>2</sub> ≤ 0.2, 0 ≤ b<sub>2</sub> ≤ 0.1, 0 ≤ c<sub>2</sub> ≤ 0.03, and M is at least one element selected from Fe, Cr, Ti, Zn, V, Al, Mg, and Zr.)
