Abstract

A cap assembly (130) for a secondary battery (100), includes: a cap plate seated on and coupled to an open end of a case accommodating an electrode assembly, the cap plate having a through-hole therethrough; a terminal plate electrically connected to the electrode assembly, and inserted into the through-hole of the cap plate; a first insulating member between the cap plate and the terminal plate to provide electrical insulation between the cap plate and the terminal plate; and a second insulating member at an outside of the first insulating member to provide electrical insulation between the cap plate and the terminal plate.
