Abstract

A rotating electrical machine according to the present disclosure includes a motor including a rotation shaft, a rotor fixed to the rotation shaft, a stator disposed outside the rotor, a winding wound around the stator, and a motor case accommodating the rotation shaft, the rotor, and the stator, a control unit configured to control the motor, and a housing that is disposed between the stator and the control unit in an axial direction along the rotation shaft and that has a shaft through-hole into which the rotation shaft is inserted, in which the control unit has a substrate on which a heat generation unit is mounted, the housing has a main body portion and a case attachment portion that protrudes from the main body portion toward a stator and that is attached to the motor case, the housing has a heat transfer surface that faces the substrate and that is disposed at a position of overlapping the heat generation unit in the axial direction, a heat dissipating member thermally connecting the heat transfer surface and the heat generation unit is provided between the heat transfer surface and the heat generation unit, and at least a part of the heat transfer surface is disposed at a position of overlapping the case attachment portion in the axial direction.
