Abstract

A position of a magnetic pole piece (54a) in an axial direction is easily managed. A magnetic modulator (50) includes the magnetic pole piece (54a), an output shaft portion (51) and a bearing support ring (55) which are disposed in the axial direction of the magnetic pole piece (54a) to rotationally support the magnetic pole piece (54a), and a resin portion (56) that integrates the magnetic pole piece (54a), the output shaft portion (51), and the bearing support ring (55). At least one of both end surfaces (54c) in the axial direction of the magnetic pole piece (54a) is exposed. In this manner, an axial position of an end surface (54c) of the exposed magnetic pole piece (54a) can be directly measured.
