Abstract

A method comprising: receiving a request for an edge application instance service for an application from a user equipment in a first service provider domain; determining a plurality of partial edge application instance options for the application, a respective partial edge application option being a part in a second service provider domain for an edge application instance, the second provider domain comprising at least a network service provider domain; configuring and reserving respective resources for each of the plurality of partial edge application options in the second domain; and after selection of one of the plurality of partial edge application options for servicing the application with an edge application instance, causing release of other of the plurality of edge application options.
