Abstract
The invention relates to a method for reducing latency in video transmission, using an input video sequence and a neural network that accounts, at the encoder side, for dynamic objects, the method comprising: i. initializing the neural network with a warm-up training for frames I0,l,I0,r ...IN,l,IN,r with Ii,j denoting a frame in the input sequence and j∈{l,r} denoting left or right view associated for modeling objects present in each frame, ii. operating the network to learn a latent encoding vector for each distinct object and register the position of said objects, iii. in an inference step, predicting the positions of each object by using a filter, iv. using the frame predicted at the previous time step as input for the network and the positions of the objects predicted in step iii) to render the estimated position of the objects at the next time step to predict the next frame.
