Abstract

The subject invention covers a seed of Triticum spelta (Bilberry) variety, representative seed of said variety has been deposited under Number NCIMB 44437 , plant produced thereof, methods of breeding, commodity plant produced therefrom as well as metho d of producing commodity plant product, grain produced therefrom and food product produced from grain. The main feature of the invention is that initial grain colour with violet subtones and higher anthocyanin content are intrinsic to seeds and is conferred from grain to the final food product.
