Abstract

A computing system is configured to use path information, application rate information and product amount information to determine an application plan for applying product to a field using an application vehicle, the application plan including an application zone for applying the product in the field. The computing system further generates a signal for controlling a user interface to present the application plan, for controlling the vehicle to apply the product in the field according to the application plan, or both. The application plan includes two or more application paths within the application zone and at least one skipped path within the application zone, and includes at least one variation in application rate along the application paths according to the application rate information, such that when the vehicle applies the product to the field following the application plan, the vehicle applies one complete tank of product in the application zone.
