Abstract

A cyclonic separation system (60) for a cleaning apparatus (10) includes a suction source (12). A suction inlet (14) is in fluid communication with the suction source (12) for capturing debris materials. A recovery tank (20) defines a collection chamber (22) in fluid communication with the suction inlet (14) and the suction source (12). A filter housing (24) is disposed between the collection chamber (22) and the suction source (12). A rotating deflector (70) is operably coupled with the filter housing (24) and disposed within the collection chamber (22). The suction source (12) is configured to generate a cyclonic airflow within the collection chamber (22) for separating the debris materials from working air. The rotating deflector (70) is configured to rotate about a central axis (36) of the recovery tank (20) in response to the cyclonic airflow.
