Abstract
Disclosed herein is a medical system (100, 200, 400, 600) comprising a subject support (104) with an array of spatially distributed pressure sensors (108). The medical system further comprises a remote spatial mapping system (106, 106') configured for measuring a spatial map (132).The execution of machine executable instructions (130) causes a computational system (120) to: repeatedly (306) acquire the spatial map from the remote spatial mapping system; repeatedly (308) acquire the array of pressure data; generate (302, 310) a subject position model (138) using the repeatedly acquired spatial map and the array of pressure data; repeatedly (312) acquire the array of pressure data (140) from the array of spatially distributed pressure sensors; repeatedly (314) receive the subject position by inputting the array of pressure data into the subject position model; and repeatedly (316) provide the subject position.
