Abstract
Proposed concepts thus aim to provide schemes, solutions, concepts, designs, methods and systems pertaining to monitoring cardiac function of a subject. In particular, embodiments aim to provide a method for monitoring cardiac function of a subject by utilizing signal quality indicators (SQIs) to identify the best available ECG leads to use during an initialization/calibration phase of a trained algorithm for monitoring cardiac function (e.g., a machine-learning model trained to detect cardiac arrhythmia in a subject), as well as triggering a re-initialization/recalibration if the ECG lead signals are absent of transient noise (thus indicating a non-temporary change in the monitoring setup).
