Abstract
The present invention provides a curable dental composition that exhibits adequate flowability to reduce lifting of prostheses during luting while achieving excellent removability of excess cement at the time of preliminary irradiation. The present invention relates to a curable dental composition comprising a polymerizable monomer (A), a filler (B), a polymerization initiator (C), a polymerization accelerator (D), and a rheology modifier (E), wherein: the polymerization initiator (C) comprises a photopolymerization initiator (C-1), the curable dental composition exhibits a viscosity V1 of 10,000 Pa·s or more and less than 20,000 Pa·s at an initial shear rate D1 (0.01 s<-1>) when measured for viscosity over a total time period of 3 minutes using a rotational rheometer, with 1 minute at shear rate D1 (0.01 s<-1>), followed by 1 minute at shear rate D2 (10 s<-1>), and then 1 minute at shear rate D1 again, the curable dental composition exhibits a viscosity V2 of 100 Pa·s or less at shear rate D2 (10 s<-1>), and the time T required for viscosity V3 to reach 10,000 Pa·s after the shear rate is switched from D2 back to D1 is less than 40 seconds from when the shear rate is switched from D2 to D1.
