Abstract

A rotating body (a second gear (62)) of a medicinal solution administration device (10) has a to-be-irradiated portion (80) that is an outer surface along the axis (Ax) of the rotating body. A rotation sensor (70) includes a light emitting element (72) that emits an irradiation light beam toward the to-be-irradiated portion (80), and a light receiving element (74) that receives a reflected light beam from the to-be-irradiated portion (80) of the rotating body. The to-be-irradiated portion (80) includes at least two regions having different intensities of the reflected light beam in the circumferential direction of the rotating body. The intensity of the reflected light beam changes while the to-be-irradiated portion (80) makes one rotation about the axis. The control unit (58) detects the rotational state of the rotating body based on a change in the current value corresponding to the intensity of the reflected light beam.
