Abstract

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a capacitive load drive circuit that outputs a drive signal for displacing a capacitive load. The capacitive load drive circuit includes an amplification circuit that outputs an amplified modulated signal by driving of a first transistor and a second transistor, the first transistor being driven in response to a first gate drive signal corresponding to a modulated signal obtained by modulating a base drive signal output by a modulation circuit, the second transistor being driven in response to a second gate drive signal corresponding to the modulated signal; and a demodulation circuit that outputs the drive signal obtained by demodulating the amplified modulated signal. At least one of the first transistor and the second transistor includes a first layer including a first nitride semiconductor, and a second layer including a second nitride semiconductor having a band gap larger than that of the first nitride semiconductor. The second layer is disposed above the first layer.
