Abstract

A printing apparatus (1) includes a storage portion (4) configured to store a container (6) that stores a printing material to be applied to a print medium by printing means (10), conveyance means (80-84) arranged to convey the print medium along a conveyance path (RT), andan opening/closing member (5,5A,33) configured to open/close an access path (AR) that enables access to the storage portion (4). The opening/closing member (5,33) comprises a path forming member (52,33) arranged to form a partial section of the conveyance path (RT) crossing the access path (AR) in a state in which the access path (AR) is closed.
