Abstract
A tire monitoring device (10) is disclosed comprising a sensor unit (100) and a sensor unit holder (200). The sensor unit (100) comprises a sensor assembly (110) and an encapsulation material (120), wherein the sensor assembly (110) is at least predominantly enclosed by the encapsulation material (120). The sensor unit holder (200) includes i) a bottom portion (223) comprising a bottom surface, and ii) a top portion (224), which is opposite to the bottom portion (223). The sensor unit (100) is embedded in and bonded to the top portion (224). Also disclosed is a tire (1) comprising such a tire monitoring device (10).
