Abstract

A server performs processing including the steps of obtaining an upper limit number of digital certificates that can be stored (S102) when determining that a priority change has been notified (YES in S100), obtaining information about a stored digital certificate (S104), transmitting priority information (S108) when determining that a digital certificate having a priority higher than that of an existing distal certificate has been set (YES in S106), transmitting certificate data (S110), and transmitting the priority information (S112) when determining that the digital certificate having a priority higher than that of the existing distal certificate has not been set (NO in S106).
