Abstract

An electro-mechanical power door operating system (100) includes a strut (102) having an inner tube (104) and an outer tube (106); and an electrical actuator (108). The inner tube (104) and the outer tube (106) are in axial alignment and slidable relative to one another in a telescoping manner in response to operation of the electrical actuator (108).
