Abstract
The present disclosure provides a method for producing chlorosilanes, the method including generating the chlorosilanes by reacting a silicon source with hydrogen chloride, or with tetrachlorosilane and hydrogen, the silicon source containing at least one selected from the group consisting of monocrystalline silicon and polycrystalline silicon each recovered from a solar panel. It is preferable that a content of the at least one selected from the group consisting of the monocrystalline silicon and the polycrystalline silicon be 1 part by mass to 99 parts by mass in 100 parts by mass of the silicon source.
