Abstract

The invention relates a laundry treating appliance (1) comprising a rotatable container (4) apt to receive laundry to be treated, the container (4) being rotatable about a rotation axis (X) and comprising a side wall (6) that extends around the rotation axis (X) and comprises an inner surface (7) which delimits a laundry receiving space (9). There is provided at least one lifter (20; 320; 420) having a base portion (22) resting on said inner surface (7), the lifter (20; 320; 420) extending from the inner surface (7) of the side wall (6) towards the rotation axis (X). The lifter (20; 320; 420) is provided with an article holder clamp device (30; 330; 430) to hold an article (A), wherein the clamp device (30; 330; 430) comprises at least one movable part (32; 432), each of said at least one movable part (32; 432) being rotatable around a respective pivot axis (34) between a closed clamp position to hold the article (A), and an open clamp position to release the article (A). The movable part (32; 432) comprises a push-to-open region (36; 336; 436) provided with an actuating surface (38; 338; 438) that is manually actuatable by a user to move the movable part (32; 432) from the closed clamp position towards the open clamp position, the movable part (32; 432) further comprising a clamp region (40, 440) provided for holding the article (A). The lifter (20; 320; 420) is provided with at least one rib (50, 52; 150, 152; 250, 252) that is stationary relative to the inner surface (7) and received into a corresponding receiving aperture (70, 72) provided in the push-to-open region (36; 336; 436) of the movable part (32; 432) of the clamp device (30; 330; 430).
