Abstract

A pipe connector (11) connecting two pipes is mainly configured of a cylindrical elastic body (21) made of rubber, and includes connection portions (22A, 22B) respectively fitted to the two pipes being provided at both ends of the pipe connector, and a diaphragm (23) being provided in a central portion thereof. A first reinforcing ring (31) is embedded in one connection portion (22A), and a second reinforcing ring (41) is embedded in the other connection portion (22B). The first reinforcing ring (31) has a first cylinder (32) and a first flange (33), and the second reinforcing ring (41) has a second cylinder (42) and a second flange (43). The first flange (33) receives the force of a jig in a direction from the other connection portion (22B) toward the one connection portion (22A), and the second flange (43) receives, on the outer periphery of the elastic body (21), the force of a jig in a direction from the one connection portion (22A) toward the other connection portion (22B).
