Abstract
A computer-implemented method of controlling power consumption within a medical imaging environment (110), is provided. The method includes: receiving video data (120) capturing at least a portion of a medical imaging system (130<1>) within the medical imaging environment (110). The method also includes predicting, based on the video data (120), and for at least one electrical system (130<1..i>) within the medical imaging environment including the medical imaging system (130<1>), or a subsystem of the medical imaging system (130<1>), a future demand for the at least one electrical system. The method also includes generating control signals (140<1..i>) for controlling an energy consumption of the at least one electrical system (130<1..i>) in accordance with the corresponding predicted future demand.
